We deliver and collect free of charge anywhere within seven kilometres each way along the coast from Ipsos. Tell us where you are staying and we will bring the vehicle to you.
We can meet you at Corfu airport with your vehicle, or collect it from you there when you leave. This must be booked in advance, so tell us your flight times when you make your request and we will confirm the details and the cost.
Corfu Motor Rent
Kato Agios Markos 49083, Ipsos, Corfu
Look for the Corfu Moto Rent sign on the road through Kato Agios Markos.
Take the number 7 blue bus from San Rocco Square in Corfu Town towards Dasia and Ipsos. We are a few steps from the stop. Buses run roughly every half hour through the day and the fare is a couple of euros. Check the current timetable.
We are open from April through to the end of October, and often into November while the weather holds. Outside those months, send us a message anyway and we will answer as soon as we can.
Renting the vehicle is the easy part. Knowing where to take it is what makes the week. We live here, so ask us.
A quiet beach away from the crowds, a long run along the coast, a village up the mountain for lunch, somewhere shallow the children can swim. Tell Alexandros what you are after when you collect the vehicle and he will tell you where to go, which way to come back, and how long it really takes.
Not every road on Corfu suits every vehicle. A 50cc scooter is happiest on the coast road and the beaches around Ipsos. A quad copes with the rougher tracks up towards the villages. If you are crossing the island, or going as a family, take a car. Ask us before you book and we will tell you honestly which one fits what you have in mind, even if it is the cheaper one.
Do not count on the overnight hours. Stations here are listed as open twenty four hours and then found shut in the small hours, which has caught visitors out. If you are setting off early or coming back late, fill up during the day. If you are ever stuck, call us before you worry about it.
Further afield, the ViaMichelin station map shows what is open across the rest of the island.
The Revoil at Pyrgi has its own tyre bay and a reputation for turning a puncture around quickly. But call us first and we will sort it out for you. That is what we are here for, and it is why we ask you to take our number with you.
We are at Ipsos, on the east coast north of Corfu Town. Drag the map or zoom in to see the roads, and ask us how long any of it really takes before you set off.
Ask Alexandros and he will tell you where to go on the day, depending on the wind and the crowds. But if you want somewhere in mind before you arrive, start with these five. Times are from our door in Ipsos, in a car or on a bigger scooter. On a 50cc, add a good half hour to anything past Barbati.
About 5 km north · roughly 10 minutes
The closest of the five and the easiest ride there is, straight up the coast road with the sea on your right the whole way. White pebbles, water that goes deep and clear very quickly, and olive groves running down to the back of the beach. The one to take on a 50cc.
Directions from usAbout 16 km west · roughly 25 minutes
The famous one, and it earns it. Six small bays under green cliffs on the other side of the island, with the monastery on the headland above and boats out to the sea caves. The road across the middle twists, which is half the pleasure of getting there.
Directions from usAbout 18 km west · roughly 30 minutes
A long, wide, properly sandy beach on the west coast, backed by cliffs, with room to spread out and everything you need along the front. It faces the open sea, so this is the side of the island to be on at the end of the day.
Directions from usAbout 21 km north · roughly 35 minutes
A working harbour village at the north east tip, with a ruined castle above it and a string of small coves either side to swim from. The coast road up there is one of the best rides on the island. Take lunch by the harbour and come back the same way.
Directions from usSidari, about 25 km · roughly 35 minutes
Soft sandstone carved by the sea into channels, arches and little coves, at the western end of Sidari. The story goes that couples who swim through the channel together stay together. It is the busiest of the five, so go early and you will have it to yourself.
Directions from usDistances are from our shop in Kato Agios Markos and the times assume an easy pace and no traffic. In August, add to all of them. Ask us on the day and we will tell you what the road is actually like before you set off.
The part people worry about is not the island, it is whether the machine will be any good and what happens if it lets you down.
Thirty years on this island, and it is not our claim to make alone.
Corfu Motor Rent runs alongside Runner Rentals, on the same road in Kato Agios Markos. Cars, ATVs and scooters here since the nineties, and rated 4.5 from 81 reviews on Google.
Same people, same workshop, same road. If you have rented in Ipsos before, you may already know them.
Our two locations sit a short walk apart on the same road through Kato Agios Markos, Tap either map to open it in your phone and navigate straight there.
The things people write in and ask before they book. If yours is not here, send it with your request and we will answer it.
Insurance, two helmets with every motorcycle and quad, and roadside assistance if anything goes wrong with the vehicle while you have it.
None of those is charged as an extra and none of them is an upsell at the counter. If the vehicle gives you trouble anywhere on the island, ring us and we will come out to you.
No. We do not take a deposit and we do not ask for a credit card to rent a vehicle.
Yes, on request. Ask for one when you send your request so that we have it fitted and ready when you collect the car, rather than finding out on the day.
| What you want to ride | Licence you need |
|---|---|
| All 50cc scooters: Derbi Boulevard 50, SYM Crox 50, SYM Orbit 50, Piaggio Liberty 50 | AM, A1, A2, A or B |
| Kymco People 80 | AM, A1, A2 or A |
| Honda Vision 110, Piaggio Liberty 125, Piaggio Medley 125 | A1, A2 or A |
| Piaggio Medley 150 and 200, SYM Jet 200, SYM Joymax 250, SYM ADX 300 | A2 or A |
| Quads: Kymco MXU 50, AEON Cobra 50 | AM or B |
| Quad: Segway Snarler 600 | B |
An ordinary car licence covers every 50cc scooter and every quad we have. A category B car licence is enough for all four 50cc scooters, both 50cc quads and the 600cc quad, because the quads are registered as four wheeled vehicles. For anything above 50cc on two wheels you need a moped or motorcycle licence, starting at AM. If you are not sure what yours covers, send us a photo of it and we will tell you.
Bring the physical licence with you. A photograph of it on your phone is not enough, here or anywhere else in Greece. If you are not sure which category yours is, send us a picture of it before you book and we will tell you what it covers, so there is no surprise when you arrive.
We move you up to the next size of the same type, free of charge. You never end up with less than you asked for, and you are never charged for the difference.
Three days. Need something shorter? Ask us anyway and we will do what we can, particularly outside the busiest weeks.
The longer you take it, the lower the daily rate, so it is always worth asking what a five or seven day price looks like.
Either. We deliver and collect free of charge anywhere within seven kilometres each way along the coast from Ipsos. Tell us where you are staying and we will bring it to you.
If you would rather come to us, the number 7 blue bus from Corfu Town stops a few steps from the door.
Yes, but it must be booked in advance. The airport sits outside our free delivery area, so it is a separate service with its own cost.
Tell us your flight number and times when you send your request and we will confirm the details and the price. Do not leave it until you land.
From April through to the end of October, and often into November while the weather holds. Outside those months, send us a message anyway. We read them and we will answer as soon as we can, and a request in February for a July rental is a good booking, not a nuisance.
Not yet, and we would rather say so plainly. The form sends us a request. Alexandros comes back to you to confirm the vehicle, the dates and the price.
Nothing is charged on this site and nothing is held until he has replied to you.
No. All our cars are manual, so whoever is driving needs to be comfortable with a gearbox. Our scooters and quads are all automatic, with no gears at all.
Fill this in and it goes straight to Alexandros. He will come back to you to confirm availability and price. Nothing is charged and nothing is confirmed until he replies.
